“Divine Movement ”

Engaging the public with the mystical and magical aspects of Chinese Dancing through colorful images in a natural equilibrated environment.


Model 1:
The need to engage the audience though the use of contrast and dramatic lighting to contrast with the coulourful paintings that creates a sense of the movement. The middle wall is meant to create a more intimate and organic ambience that gives the feeling of divinity to dancers portrayed on the paintings.


Model 2:
The magenta lighting gives the space a theatrical environment that make the actual painting come to life and make their bodies float. The casting shadows create a fantasy and metical scenery that help create the experience of the dance performance.


Image 1:
Chinese dance emphases on the corporal gestures and the gestual connotations. Our spirit digests the movement and the movement communicates the spirit.


Image 2:
Jiawas Born in China and grew up during the Cultural Revolution.
